Thank you for downloading LastSafe!
System Requirements
- Windows 10 (version 19041 or newer) or Windows 11
- Administrator rights are required — both during installation and every time you run a backup (due to Volume Shadow Copy Service)
Important: LastSafe uses the Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS)
to create consistent and reliable backups of your files — even when they are in use.
Because of this, LastSafe must run with Administrator privileges every time
you start a backup. The application will automatically prompt you for permission through
the standard Windows User Account Control (UAC) dialog.
Please click “Yes” when the elevation prompt appears.
Installation Steps

Extract the downloaded zip file to any folder on your computer.
Example: Desktop\LastSafe

Right-click on the file Install.ps1

Select "Run with PowerShell" from the context menu
Note: If Windows shows a security warning, click "Yes" or "Run anyway".
Running LastSafe
You can launch LastSafe from the Start Menu.
When performing backups, the app will automatically ask for Administrator permission via UAC. Please accept the prompt.
